Education
While you're at the Canyon, enjoy one of several Interpretive and Educational Programs offered by the National Park Service. All ranger programs are free and open to the public.
Environment
Efforts toward cleaner air! At the Grand Canyon, our environmental initiatives have resulted in our tour buses having 70% cleaner emissions and 20% better fuel efficiency. Xanterra Parks & Resorts received the EPA Award for Environmental Achievement.
Accessibility
Improving accessibility to the park! The Grand Canyon National Park Greenway project is providing greater opportunities for visitors on foot, by bicycle or in a wheelchair to connect with the canyon. When completed the Greenway could provide as many as 73 miles of new hiking and biking trails on the South and North Rims of Grand Canyon National Park, and will be the longest wheelchair accessible trail in the National Park System!
