In-Park Parking: All parking lots on the South Rim are open to all National Park visitors. There is no charge for parking with your paid entrance fee, however during peak periods of visitation, it may be necessary to park in satellite parking lots, as there is no assigned hotel parking for guests.
Parking at The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon: Overnight guests of The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon have parking available at the hotel.

The Mather and Desert View Campgrounds are operated by the National Park Service (NPS). To reserve a campsite, please call 800-365-CAMP or make a campsite reservation online at www.nps.gov/GRCA/planyourvisit/index.htm
Permits are required for all overnight backcountry camping, with the exception of guests with reservations at Phantom Ranch. You can obtain a permit from the park’s Backcountry Information Center up to four months in advance. Please keep in mind that permits are limited.
Most of our rates for in-park lodging and activities require approval by the National Park Service , so you can always be assured of an excellent value.
Your deposit guarantees the first night’s room rate. Any increases to the room rate after your reservation is confirmed will apply to all additional room nights.
For The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon: Rates are subject to change at any time without notice until reserved and guaranteed by the applicable deposit.
We are currently accepting reservations for stays up to 13 months in advance. On the first of each month, we will begin accepting online reservations for the entire month of the following year at midnight (12:00 am) Mountain time (Denver, CO time). For example, on September 1, we will accept reservations through September 30 of the following year. Our Central Reservations office will begin accepting reservations via phone at 7am Mountain time (Denver, CO time) on the first of each month. Advance reservations are strongly recommended for all properties.
*Phantom Ranch individual reservations may be made for up to 9 hikers. Parties of 10 or more hikers are considered a Group and must be submitted to Phantom Ranch Group Sales.
Animals or pets are not allowed, with the exception of qualified Service Dogs for guests with disabilities. Please advise your reservations agent if you are traveling with a Service Dog.
We accept travel agent reservations for individual travel parties. However, please be advised that we do not pay commissions or offer net rates to travel professionals.
At Grand Canyon National Park Lodges and The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon, a Service Dog is defined as a dog that is personally trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a guest with a disability. There are many different acceptable conditions for using a service dog, such as guiding a blind person, pulling a wheelchair, or alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, and other special tasks as defined in Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A Service Dog is not a pet. All Service Dogs shall be up to date on all required vaccinations upon arrival at the property, and may be subject to additional rules and regulations of the National Park Service.
No. Service Dogs do not include pets or Service Dogs in Training. Nor are Emotional Support Dogs or “assistance animals” considered Service Dogs based on a decision by the U.S. Department of Justice. None of these animals will be able to stay at Grand Canyon National Park Lodges or The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon.
In order to reserve a room, a deposit equal to the first night of your stay (plus tax) is required on each room within 7 days of making the reservation. If arriving within 14 days, a credit card deposit is required to make a reservation. You may use Discover, JCB, American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, MasterCard or Visa and we will charge your credit card upon completion of the reservation.
The deposit will guarantee your room reservation for an arrival beyond 4:00 p.m. Please note, the deposit will guarantee the reservation and the first night’s room rate only. Any increases to the room rate after your reservation is confirmed will apply to all additional room nights. Any modifications to your reservation(s) may result in the entire stay being subject to the new applicable rate.
When reserving Phantom Ranch or a tour, the required deposit is full payment. Any modifications to your reservation(s) may result in the entire stay/tour being subject to the new applicable rate.
Please note, all reservations must be made in the name of the cardholder, and the cardholder must be present at the time of check-in.
If your plans change for any reservation (except Phantom Ranch), you may receive a full refund of the deposit provided you cancel the reservation and obtain a cancellation number at least two (2) days prior to the designated check-in time and arrival date (at least three [3] days for The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon). If making a reservation within 2-days of arrival, the deposit is immediately non-refundable.
Cancellations made less than two (2) days (three [3] days for The Grand Hotel at The Grand Canyon) prior to the scheduled arrival will result in a forfeiture of your deposit. Please note that refunds will not be issued for cancellations due to inclement weather.
For stays at Phantom Ranch cancellations must occur at least 45-days prior to the designated check-in time and arrival date for all reservations. If making a reservation within the cancellation period, the deposit is immediately non-refundable.
We recommend you modify or cancel your reservation online when possible. You may retrieve your reservation via the below “Modify or cancel an existing reservation” button, click “Modify & Cancel” and follow the prompts to login with your email address and password. If you have not setup an online profile with a password, please click on “Find my reservation” and follow the prompts with the required details.
